CAL NOTEBOOK

Defensive tackle Mike Costanzo will be out for four to six weeks with a sprained right knee, coach Jeff Tedford said after Thursday's practice.  The freshman from Monte Vista High in Danville was a high school All-America selection by PrepStar and the 17th-ranked defensive tackle prospect in the nation.  Costanzo was carted off the field during Wednesday's practice, and he was on crutches while watching practice Thursday.
