SF Chronicle: Three Bears vying to replace Mixon

At a recent Cal practice, Tim Mixon had some important stops before getting treatment on his torn right anterior cruciate ligament.  Moving slowly on crutches and offering words of encouragement, the senior cornerback watched the defensive linemen's drill, worked his way over to see the linebackers and finished by checking out the defensive backs.  Even though he's out for the season, Mixon is providing the same enthusiasm and leadership on the practice field. Still, the Bears need to find someone to take his place on game days.
