Daily Cal: Cal Wide Receivers Continue to Improve

Bears Tailbacks Getting Attention, but Young And Fast Unit Looks Primed for Big Year

Granted, it was only two plays. Granted, these two plays took place during Thursday's relatively meaningless scrimmage at Memorial Stadium. Nevertheless, they showed a glimpse of the offensive potential on the No. 9 Cal football team.  And, believe it or not, tailback Marshawn Lynch wasn't involved in either one.  With Lynch likely occupying center stage in the game plan of opposing defenses, the Bears wide receiving unit-which is quietly returning all its personnel from the 2005 season-could be primed for a big year.
