Freshman defensive end suffers knee sprain, likely will redshirt

BERKELEY — Cal defensive lineman Mike Costanzo, a highly recruited freshman from Monte Vista High in Danville, has sprained his right knee and will be lost to the Bears for four to six weeks. The 6-foot-2, 300-pound Costanzo was injured during the first week of fall camp, and will likely redshirt this season.
