CONTRA COSTA TIMES
BERKELEY - It was photo day for the Cal football team at Memorial Stadium on Friday and senior cornerback Tim Mixon was asked by the photographer if he would smile for his mug shot. There would be no smile. Mixon, who is sixth all-time at Cal with 22 pass break-ups and second all-time with a 12.7 career punt return average, tore the ACL in his right knee during Thursday's scrimmage and will have surgery when the swelling subsides. His season is over. "It's demoralizing," Mixon said. "I worked so hard this summer. It's my senior season and you are supposed to be at your peak."
