Bear Insider: Notes on the 2006 Football Season

Not unlike the 2004 season, the off-season this year produced great expectations for the 2006 edition of Cal Bears.  Picked as the number two team in the Pac-10 by writers, the Bears were the only team with significant first place votes, challenging USC as the projected league champion. Cal Head Coach Jeff Tedford and senior cornerback Daymeion Hughes addressed Cal’s 2006 prospects with the Pac-10 media as well as the Bear Insider.“We’re very excited about this season,” said Tedford.  “We have a very exciting opener at Tennessee.  I feel like this team has the ability to accomplish a lot.”
