Oregonian: Oregon longs for home after blowout road loss

California dominated Oregon on the scoreboard, 45-24 and on the line of scrimmage, and the result was 235 yards rushing for the Golden Bears (5-1, 3-0 Pacific-10 Conference) and 70 for the Ducks (4-1, 2-1).   Cal jumped out to a 28-3 lead late in the second quarter when wide receiver DeSean Jackson scored on a 65-yard punt return. The halftime score was 28-10 before Cal scored the first 10 points of the second half to lead 38-10.

"We got worn down defensively in the second half," Oregon coach Mike Bellotti said.  Golden Bears running back Justin Forsett rushed for 163 yards on 27 carries. Cal became the third team this season to gain 200 yards or more on the ground against Oregon.  Cal's defense repeatedly ended running plays before they began and finished with nine tackles for loss and forced four turnovers.  "You can't turn the ball over and you can't give up touchdowns on special teams and we did that against a very good football team," Bellotti said.
