“California: The only team on USC's schedule that has much of a chance to beat them. Their only chance is if they can protect their quarterback, Nathan Longshore so he can make some plays. The Bears can play defense well enough to keep the game close, but they must do some special things on offense to win and get into the championship pool. Their loss to Tennessee can be mitigated by knocking off USC, who beat Nebraska and Arkansas, who beat Auburn, who beat Florida, who beat Tennessee, who beat Cal.”
