Seattle Post Intelligencer: Willingham: "Non-committal" on Locker... and something to fire up the Irish
The trailer truck was at the loading dock this afternoon and being loaded up for the trip to Berkeley, where the Huskies will take on No. 11 Cal Saturday at 12:30. While the equipment was being put into place, one thing that isn't yet in place is the pecking order. Carl Bonnell, the junior from Kentwood High, is the starter. That much we know. Officially, junior Johnny DuRocher is listed No. 2, but freshman Jake Locker may be the go-to guy if Bonnell is injured against the Golden Bears. According to coach Tyrone Willingham, he has "run through potential scenarios, played those in my mind." However, with a chuckle he said, "It stays in my mind." "I hate to be non-committal, but that's what the circumstance dictates," Willingham said.
