Cal Football Announcement: Cal Will Face BYU In Las Vegas Bowl December 22nd!

The California Golden Bears and the Brigham Young University Cougars will meet December 22nd in the Pioneer PureVision Las Vegas Bowl, University and bowl officials announced Sunday afternoon. The game will be televised by ESPN with a 5:00pm (Pacific) kickoff.

Cal is playing in a third consecutive bowl game for the first time since the 1948, 1949 and 1950 seasons all ended in Rose Bowl appearances. The Bears are coming off of a 7-4 regular season. Cal was 4-4 in Pacific-10 Conference play, ending the year with a 27-3 win over Stanford in the Big Game.

The Cougars had a 6-5 overall record in 2005 and went 5-3 in the Mountain West Conference. BYU won five of its last seven games under first-year head coach Bronco Mendenhall.

All season ticket holders and athletic donors are able to purchase Cal Bowl tickets
NOW online at CalBears.com. The priority period for season ticket holders will end at 11:59pm December 4th, so if you are a season ticket holder make sure you take advantage of guaranteeing your Bowl Ticket before they are released to the general public.

Las Vegas Bowl Tickets will go on sale for all Cal fans online at
CalBears.com starting at 12:01am on Monday, December 5th. Tickets will be available for purchase by calling (800) GO BEARS or stopping by the Athletic Ticket Office at 2223 Fulton St., starting at 8:30am on Monday, December 5th.
