Sports Network:Cal holds off BYU in Sin City for Vegas Bowl title

Las Vegas, NV (Sports Network) - Marshawn Lynch ran for 194 yards and three touchdowns to lead California over BYU, 35-28, in the Las Vegas Bowl at Sam Boyd Stadium. Steve Levy completed 16-of-23 passes for 228 yards with two touchdowns for Cal (8-4), which ended the season with two straight wins. DeSean Jackson added 130 yards and two touchdowns receiving as the Golden Bears held off a late surge to improve to 2-1 in the last three years in bowl games.

John Beck set Las Vegas Bowl records in completions, attempts and yards and tied for the most TD passes, as the Cougars (6-6) dropped consecutive games to end the season with a .500 record. Beck finished 35-of-53 for 352 yards with three TDs and two picks, as his team rallied to draw within seven points only to come up short at the end.
