Oregon Herald: Cal Trying to Bounce Back

California came into the season with hopes of a Pac-10 title and more, but those hopes took a big hit with a surprisingly one-sided 35-18 loss at Tennessee last week. The loss dropped the Bears from No. 9 to No. 22 in this week's Associated Press poll and coach Jeff Tedford said it can be difficult to bounce back from a loss like that when expectations were so high.

"It's one game against a very good team," Tedford said. "It wasn't so much about who we played, it was how we played. We can play much better. Everybody understands it's just one game in the season. There's a long season ahead." Tedford said there wouldn't be any personnel changes this week and said he thinks his players will bounce back well. "Everyone on the team takes losses differently," Tedford said. "There was disappointment but we have another opportunity this week."
