California running back Marshawn Lynch told reporters this week he had no interest in attending the Heisman Trophy award ceremony in New York should he be a finalist. If he wins, "I would tell them to FedEx it to me," Lynch said. . . . Plans to retrofit Cal's Memorial Stadium would include blocking the view from Tightwad Hill, which overlooks the stadium. Generations of Cal fans have chosen to watch games from there rather than purchasing tickets. "It's just another stab at turning a grand old stadium into something it's not," Cal alumnus Dan Sicular told the Contra Costa Times. Sicular has started a petition in opposition. . . .
