PROVO - Forgive reserve offensive lineman Nick Longshore for being in a hurry when BYU's seniors get their traditional blankets Saturday after the New Mexico game at LaVell Edwards Stadium. Longshore, a transfer from College of the Canyons who has played sparingly in his two-year career, plans to rush home to watch California and USC battle for the Pac-10 title on ABC-TV because his younger brother, Nate Longshore, is Cal's starting quarterback. "The family is hoping to win two [conference championship] rings in one day," Nick Longshore said. "That would be cool." BYU (6-0, 8-2) can clinch the Mountain West Conference title outright with a win over the Lobos, while the Cal-USC winner will guarantee itself the Pac-10's automatic berth in the BCS - either the National Championship game or the Rose Bowl.
