Redshirt freshman Nate Longshore and JC transfer Joseph Ayoob (CCSF) are swapping time at the QB slot, each at times showing moments of competence mixed with confusion and poorly thrown passes at others. The man in the middle, head coach Jeff Tedford, is the guy who not only has to make the call, he's also the guy whose job it is to develop a polished quarterback and team leader from the raw material available. The Bear Insider asked coach Tedford about the competition.
It appears that you have a real competition going on for the starting job at quarterback.
