Cal wide receiver Noah Smith has recovered from a fainting spell that hospitalized him overnight Sunday and will rejoin the team today.
Smith, a redshirt sophomore, passed out while running a pass route. He wrenched his neck as he fell to the ground.
He was taken from the field by ambulance and hospitalized as a precaution. He was released Monday.
Coach Jeff Tedford said Smith's neck was fine and he had no other lingering affects.
"He didn't eat enough lunch and got a little light-headed," Tedford said.
In other injury news, Tedford said redshirt freshman linebacker Worrell Williams should be able to return in two to three weeks.
Williams incurred a high ankle sprain last week during a scrimmage.
