SF Chronicle: Cal receivers feeling humble after loss

Junior receiver Robert Jordan slapped his hands together in disgust, stomped on the turf and paused for a moment during Tuesday's practice.  That kind of reaction after a dropped pass wasn't the norm during training camp, but this week it's different for the receivers.  It's become personal.  "We dropped a couple of balls on plays that we usually make, so we're putting the blame for the offense on ourselves," Jordan said. "The taste won't be out of our mouths until we do what we can in the next game."  The trio of Jordan, DeSean Jackson and Lavelle Hawkins combined for 165 yards in Cal's season-opening loss to Tennessee, but the group has been criticized for a handful of dropped passes.  "It was embarrassing," Hawkins said. "With all the guys who can make plays on this team, to get shut out for three quarters was unacceptable."
