Sacred Heart Cathedral running back Dasarte Yarnway said Tuesday that he verbally has committed to play at Cal. Yarnway chose Cal over Oregon and a number of other Pac-10 schools and said the coaching staff and proximity to home were big factors in his decision "It had a lot to do with the relationship I forged with coach (Jeff) Tedford and the rest of the coaches," Yarnway said. "...My family will be able to watch me play on the field and follow what I do in the classroom." Yarnway, a 6-foot, 215-pound senior, ran for 175 yards in a 24-3 win over St. Francis on Friday night. Considered the 33rd-ranked senior recruit in California, according to Rivals.com, Yarnway has rushed for 728 yards in four games this season. He will sign a letter of intent in February.
