Cal plays Maryland next weekend. After beating perennial powerhouse Delaware last weekend 14-7, Maryland lost, in an upset, to Middle Tennessee State today, 24 to 14. The Washington Times called the loss “the most embarrassing of Ralph Friedgen’s eight-year tenure.”
