Jeff Tedford Left Oregon to Rebuild at Cal. After Six Years, It's Still a Perfect Fit.

It's a sunny afternoon, and another day of fall camp has passed for the Cal football team. Once again, coach Jeff Tedford lectures his players from the middle of the field, saying they shouldn't leave those "watermelon things" lying around the stadium. Having addressed the media, Tedford treks up the Memorial bleachers, reaching below for trash. His hands are full by the team he reaches the second level. He sits in his office amid the accolades, the flat-screen LCD and the infamous bed-couch that serves him a handful months each year. Six years have passed since the Bears' spectacle of a win over Michigan State in East Lansing.
