Defensively, the Bears have playmakers at linebacker and in the secondary. Safety Thomas DeCoud hits like a linebacker. Uh-oh: The defensive line is suspect, and quarterback Nate Longshore left last week's victory over Oregon on a gimpy ankle. Had the game gone to overtime, he might not have been able to play.
