Covers.com: California at Oregon- Wet and wild in Eugene

Bettors are applying the laws of nature for today’s showdown between California and Oregon believing a duck is more comfortable than a bear in water.  There is a 60 percent chance of showers and Oregon is now a 2 ½-point favorite after opening as a 1-point dog earlier in the week.  However, don’t expect Bears head coach Jeff Tedford to simply secede the weather advantage to his fine-feathered friends.  “We’ll dump balls in buckets of water,” Tedford said at practice this week. “We’ll have trash cans full of water and we’ll just dump the balls in there and let the quarterbacks throw them. It’s not just about the quarterbacks, it’s about the center, the running backs.”
