Coach Tedford to appear on telecast of 49ers preseason game tonight

Tonight at 7:00pm, Cal Football Head Coach Jeff Tedford will appear on the air during the first quarter of the San Francisco 49ers' game against the Tennessee Titans. The game will be televised locally on KPIX Channel 5 and can be heard on KNBR 1050 AM and 107.7 FM.
Fan Appreciation Day is tomorrow!
All Cal fans are invited to celebrate the start of football season, as the Bears host the annual season-opening event, Fan Appreciation Day!
The festivities will be held on tomorrow (Saturday, Aug. 27) from 10:30am - 12:30pm at Memorial Stadium. For this free event, fans are encouraged to enter Memorial Stadium through the North Tunnel, where the Bears run onto the field at the start of each game. At the celebration, fans will receive a free 2005 Cal Football team poster, and opportunities for autographs and photos with the players.
Also starting at 10:30am, Cal Athletics will clean out its closets by hosting a "Garage Sale." Unique athletic apparel and equipment from the Golden Bears football, basketball, baseball, volleyball, swimming, and other teams will be available for fans to purchase at the event. The Cal Garage Sale will be held near Section K, by the south entrance to Memorial Stadium.
Near the conclusion of the event, free appetizers and soft drinks will be served, compliments of Baja Fresh and Coca-Cola. Parking will be available for at campus parking lots for $7.00 for the entire day.
The Cal Athletic Garage Sale will feature authentic unworn and game-worn uniforms, equipment, and apparel from several Cal Athletic teams. Starting at 10:30am at the South Entrance of Memorial Stadium (by Section K), fans may purchase a variety of athletic gear at great discounted prices - with several items starting at only $5!
Items include jerseys, equipment, shorts, pants, Nike shoes, jackets, gloves, shirts, hats, and other apparel available for fans to purchase. Cash, check, and credit cards will be accepted. Clothing and equipment is available while supplies last. A limited quantity for purchase may apply to select items. No refunds will be offered on purchased items.

Cal Football Preview
Fox Sports Net will air a Cal Football preview starting Saturday at 4:30pm. The show, which includes a feature on sophomore tailback Marshawn Lynch, will be re-aired on Saturday at 9:30pm, as well as Tuesday, Aug. 30 at 6:00pm, Tuesday, Sept. 6 at 6:30pm, and Saturday, Sept. 17 at 8:30am.
Comcast SportsNet to televise home opener against Sacramento State
Cal Football opens the 2005 season on Saturday, Sept. 3 when they host Sacramento State. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:00pm, and the game can be viewed live on Comcast SportsNet.
Comcast SportsNet will air a weekly football television show with Coach Tedford this season. The Cal Sports Report will air on Thursdays at 6:30pm and 11:00pm, on Fridays at 3:00pm and on Saturdays at 10:00am.
Earlier this month, Cal Athletics and ISP Sports (the exclusive multimedia rights holder for Cal Athletics) announced a five-year agreement with Comcast SportsNet that includes broadcast rights to regular season game coverage for the school's varsity sports programs, as well as marketing and sponsorship opportunities.
