Walker County Messenger: Countdown to Number One

Here is the link.

11. California – The entire hopes of the Golden Bears may be riding on the 6-foot-5 frame of quarterback Nate Longshore, a talented signal-caller who needs more consistency to be mentioned among the nation’s best. Justin Forsett will also be a key player as he tries to fill the shoes of first round NFL draft pick Marshawn Lynch.  Junior DeSean Jackson (59 rec., 1,060 yards, 9 touchdowns) might be the fastest receiver in the country while Robert Jordan and Lavelle Hawkins also have tremendous speed. The biggest concern on the line is whether Mike Gibson is completely recovered from offseason shoulder surgery.  Junior end Rulon Davis has the size (6-5, 275) to be a disruptive force while sophomore Tyson Alualu is a rising star. Zack Follett, Anthony Felder and Worrell Williams give Cal a solid group at linebacker, but the secondary will have to replace Lott Trophy winner Daymeion Hughes meaning the corners will be young and inexperienced.
