No. 6 Southern California hosts No. 22 California in a contest that will go a long way toward determining the Pac-10's Rose Bowl representative. The Bowl Championship Series title game isn't out of the question for the Trojans, but they'll need a lot of help. After struggling at Arizona, USC QB Mark Sanchez did whatever he wanted last week against Washington. He'll probably face more of a challenge from Golden Bears LBs Anthony Felder and Zack Follett, who can be used in a variety of blitz packages. There are plenty of TB alternatives for the Trojans, but Stafon Johnson is most effective when he gets extended playing time. Cal's quarterback situation is uncertain with Kevin Riley (concussion) questionable. Whether he or Nate Longshore starts, TB Jahvid Best is the key to the attack. He's sure to get plenty of attention from USC LB Rey Maualuga.
