Cal 3 USC 17

A couple of bad calls and no offense = defeat.

The Bears offense looks horrible. Week after week both Riley and Longshore miss open receivers deep. You can't win big games if you don't make big plays when they are available.

I wonder how much blame lies with Frank Cignetti. The offense has alot of talent, but is just not in sync.

Cal has an outside, but very real shot of getting to the Rose Bowl if they win out. at 9-3, they are very likely to finish high enough in the BCS standings to qualify for a BCS berth.

If USC makes it to the national championship game, the Rose Bowl will pick Cal to play Penn State to ensure a Big Ten - Pac Ten showdown.

The very same thing happened last year to Illinois at 9-3.

Go Bears and for now - Go Trojans!!!

Cal will not make it to the Rose Bowl if they win out, even if USC makes it to the national championship game (which is slim).

No way Cal will be ranked in the Top 14, even if they win out. Illinois was 9-3 last year, but they also beat Ohio State who went the national championship game, and that's how they ended up ranked high enough.

Holiday Bowl is our best scenario.

Go Bears!

Bowls smowls.... All I care now before I die to to just beat Stanford! If the Bears do that, then I'll manage to live for another season. Even then, just please beat 'SC @ Memorial next year...I don't care how...just hire these same knucklehead Coliseum refs & pay them off more than the 'SC coaches did this year.
