Cal Loses to Maryland, 27-35

The score is very misleading; Cal did not look good until late in the 4th quarter, when Maryland relaxed a little too early.  Here’s the stats.

Very undisciplined play by the bears. Wow! 1 question for Tedford...Best was obviously injured after that monster hit (sternum or rib possibly)...why leave him in the game? I think as a coach you have to be smarter and show more concern for your players. Also, whats up with the late arrival to the East Coast!Spot on Tedford!

Yeah I agree! Who the hell is the D coordinator? Obvious 3rd down and long and we didn't blitz? Wow. I would have sent the whole family in there! On another note we were robbed on the botched safety call period! It was strange that no one made a stink about it not even the announcers. I swear with the debacle at BYU vs. Washington and this travesty, these damn refs are ruining college football!

Just watch Tedford start Longshore next week. I swear the guy is not a smart coach at all! Cal has the talent but lacks fundamental coaching and discipline. Alex Mack come on bro your a leader and a senior must keep your composure out there...another in a long line of sensless Cal penalties...just sad!

Coach Tedford saved Cal football from the absolute depth of despair and he shall forever be regarded as one of the all time Cal greats. Nevertheless, how can someone who commands a $2M annual salary call for an onside kick with more than seven minutes and three TOs? If your defense can't make a stand with 7 minutes, you derserve to lose. Effectively ending the game with seven minutes is a sign of pure panic.

very disappointing game. Where was the running game? the O-line stunk...at least 5 sacks on Riley? Alex Mack's flagrant late hit- what the ???? Total lack of discipline, lack of fire, and 4th quarter rally was too little too late to make a real comeback.

In some dank jail cell a tree-sitter is laughing his ass off. Their sacrifice was not in vain.

Someone please tell me what happened to K. Rileys great mobility? I saw several opportunities where he could have tucked and run the ball rather than forcing pass attempts. WTF Cal? To the above point yeah Tedford did rescue Cal football but he does not have what it takes to make Cal football excellent. Teford has done well but the sheer ignorance of some of his decisions is astounding.

Note to Tedford... Cal's strength is running around the ends (speed game not power) and not up the gut.

First East coast game since 2001 - Fail!
Fly in day before (Friday) game - Fail!
Start game at 9AM PT - Fail

This was a stupid decision my Tedford.

They should have flown in on Thursday and not started the game until 4PM ET.

Trying to get on national TV backfired for Tedford and his program.

Tedford is not a smart man and he needs to fire Gregory (D-coordinator) as Gregory is a huge liability!!!

It does not matter if you are on national TV if you look like a clown!
