WVLT: Video of Tennessee Fans Arriving in California

Berkeley, California (WVLT-TV), Your Sports Overtime team is no longer California dreaming. We have a arrived on the left coast in anticipation of Saturday's showdown between the Vols and Golden Bears. Our trip began bright and early Wednesday morning and much to our surprise, it included a strong contingent of UT fans. Among those on our flight west, UT Athletics Director Mike Hamilton who told me, "arriving at the airport at 5:30am. to see the lobby filled with orange clad Vols literally headed to multiple points in northern California, is incredibly motivating."  As for the championship which have eluded his football program in recent years as well as the task at hand for coach Fulmer and the Vols this Saturday Hamilton says," the success of our football program through the years always brings talk of the next championship and it's great to work at a place where those expectations are realistic every season, Let's get started!"   We started our coverage out here by heading over to the Cal practice Wednesday afternoon. We had a chance to visit with head coach Jeff Tedford and asked him if the injury to quarterback Erik Ainge would affect his preparation for the game, if any. The coach said, "we have to get ready for their team and their offensive schemes, I would assume he'd probably still play with it."  Our coverage from California continues Thursday with live reports at 5:30, 6:00 and 7:00. We'll also have updates for you on our Web Channel, volunteertv.com.
