Is revenge possible on opening day? For Cal, sure it is.
The Golden Bears lost 35-18 at Tennessee last year, but host the Volunteers on Saturday in the nation's only matchup of Top 25 teams. Coach Jeff Tedford said he has not talked to his team about revenge, but hears about the loss from fans and alumni almost every day. "It comes up constantly," he said. "No matter where you are, when they talk about the season last year, you win 10 games. They remember the bowl game a little bit, but it seems they always come back to (the Tennessee loss)."
