Tennesse quarterback Eric Ainge practiced as usual with the team this morning, performing throwing drills with his broken right pinkie (throwing hand) and ring finger taped together. Ainge did not appear to be in pain while he threw numerous short and long passes to receivers duiring the first half-hour of practice, which is that part of practice open to the media. Ainge's strong practice showing comes a day after x-rays on Wednesday had revealed the break to his right pinkie. He broke the finger during a center-quarterback exchange on Monday. Read Friday's Tennessean for complete coverage of the Tennessee Vols as they prepare for the season opener Saturday at California.
