CBS Sportsline: 3 Cal Alums Were Best Picks for their Respective Teams

Thanks to Ed for forwarding this:

Pete Prisco, on sportsline.com lists Marshawn Lynch, Daymeion Hughes and Brandon Mebane as the best picks for the Bills, Colts, and Seahawks respectively. Here’s the link http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/story/10157575

Buffalo Bills:

Best pick: Taking Marshawn Lynch with their first pick will prove to be a great move. He will be their franchise back for a long time.

Indianapolis Colts:

Best pick: Third-round pick Daymeion Hughes was once considered a first-round talent. Slow times dropped him down, but in the Colts defense they can cover that up.

Seattle Seahawks

Best pick: Third-round pick Brandon Mebane is a 305-pound defensive tackle who will help the run defense.

Interestingly enough, Todd McShay ranks Mebane and Lynch as the worst draft picks for their respective teams.

"Worst pick: Marshawn Lynch, RB, Cal. Lynch is a very talented back with a strong build, above-average speed and good receiving skills. But he has too many question marks to justify selecting him No. 12 overall. Instead of paying Willis McGahee market value, the Bills will overpay for a less talented back who never carried the full load at Cal."

Worst pick: Brandon Mebane, DT, Cal. In all reality, there's not much to criticize with regard to Seattle's overall draft strategy. While Mebane wasn't much of a reach in Round 3, the team could have addressed a bigger need at guard with a better prospect such as Iowa's Marshal Yanda -- and then found a similar value at defensive tackle (Florida's Marcus Thomas) with its next pick at No. 120 overall.

Just thought it'd be interesting to point out.
