Sacramento Bee: Five things to watch in today's game

Washington State (3-3, 0-3) at No. 25 Cal (5-2, 2-2), 7:15 p.m.

1: Fourth-quarter woes. Cal has scored 10 fourth-quarter points over the past three games, and the Bears have lost their last two by a combined 10 points.

2: Harrison's streak. Washington State running back Jerome Harrison has nine consecutive 100-yard games, and he's coming off a 260-yard effort against UCLA.

3: Receivers hurting. Cal's top receiver, DeSean Jackson (shoulder), has been upgraded to probable, but No. 2 threat Robert Jordan is out with a collarbone injury.

4: Rattled Ayoob. Coach Jeff Tedford said the biggest problem facing quarterback Joe Ayoob right now is the junior's lack of confidence. Those three fourth-quarter interceptions over the past two weeks aren't helping, either.

5: Losing ways. Cal has never lost three straight under Tedford. The Cougars are the only Pacific-10 Conference team Tedford hasn't beaten at Cal.
