Willingham keeps on his game face

BERKELEY — Tyrone Willingham is that door that's slightly ajar, that sharp, calculating mind that has ultra-sensitive antennae, that choir-boy character that is programmed to peek around corners.

Thus we don't know how hard his exit from Notre Dame was on him, because he won't let on. Three years in South Bend, national coach of the year in 2002, then he's fired. That had to leave him somewhat jaded.
