Cal Chancellor Birgeneau finds $3,000,000 to pay consultants to do the WORK of his job and the jobs of his many vice-chancellors when east coast University does same at no cost. Cal Chancellor Birgeneau ($500,000 salary) locates $300,000 to pay ex Michigan governor for lecture. Locating $ for sel-serving purposes is not a problem for Cal's senior management.
