Monroe Times Star: Louisiana Tech's Champion spread it around against Hawaii

Louisiana Tech quarterback Zac Champion completed passes to nine different receivers againt Hawaii, with JC transfer Phillip Beck leading the way with five catches for 40 yards.

True freshman Joe Anderson continues to impress with four grabs for 41 yards and the long reception on the day of 20 yards, while running back Patrick Jackson added four catches for 31 yards.  Josh Wheeler emerged from the shadows after being blanked in the season-opening win against Central Arkansas as Tech's top returning receiver from last season turned in a pair of catches for 21 yards, including a three-yard scoring strike.  Running back Daniel Porter added two catches for 11 yards while Jackson had one grab -- his first of the season -- for six yards.  The Bulldogs' continued to make strong use of their tight end trio, with Anthony Harrison catching two balls for 18 yards, Dustin Mitchell hauling in a pair for four yards, including a two-yard overtime TD, and Dennis Morris adding a 15-yard reception.
